Owned and operated by Mark Harrison and Danny Duchesne. Danny is a Cordon, Bleu Chef, and the meal was out  of this world. He also made our wedding cake.

It was a very hot humid day in July a hundred degrees. I hired a harpist to play music through the service and when it came time to say our vows, I spoke mine, and Doug sang his to me. Very romantic. My family was very impressed.

What I have accomplished since he's been in my life, I wish I had met him many, many years ago. What I have done since he's been in my life shows you what a positive influence in your life can do. One day I was looking through my computer and realized that when I first came here in 2012, I joined the Mizell writing class and started writing a few stories, but they sat on my computer for years.

My first published child book "You'll Get Stuck" I asked Doug if he'd like to read them and when he did, he  said  we must publish these, so we did we published one of my short stories for children on Amazon called "You'll Get Stuck" and since I needed an illustrator, I didn't have to look very far because there was Suzi (our Friend) with her wonderful talent.

Another day I guess I was singing in the kitchen, and he came out and said have you got the radio on, and I said no, he said, I didn't know you could sing, and my answer to him was I didn't think I could sing either.

After the meal, we went into the next room and my grandson put on music he had been acquiring and putting together for me for weeks, and just after we had our first dance, the power went out. The heavens opened with a downpour of rain, thunder, and lightning, knocking out the power, and leaving us all in the dark. (Thank God for cell phone flashlights) Because there was no power, we all had to go home. (Party Over) We hope to go on a Hawaiian Honeymoon Cruise for two or three week.

With that in mind, has been encouraging me to sing at Karaoke, and we have quite a few good sessions in our home and at the various venues around town singing our hearts out.

Last year (2022)  I hurt my back and couldn't do anything, so Doug bought me a paint set for Christmas and as you've seen some of my work on Face Book and other online apps, it has filled a lot of hours with joy and taken my mind off my pain. Recently, I was a seller in a Local Art Gallery and sold one of my paintings at the gallery. I still have three paintings at the same gallery, and the owner wants me to sign a contract to sell my paintings with him. None of this would've happened without Doug Davis in my life.

Originally the plan was to continue six months in Canada and six months in the United States in Palm Springs, but Doug had a fall and couldn't travel for a while. I then had to decide, do I stay in Canada or do I stay in the United States. Well, as you all know, love won out and here I am, an
immigrant.

I recently celebrated my 80th birthday and my sweet husband surprised me with a party at my favorite restaurant with all my favorite people. It certainly was the highlight of my year. If not my life. I look forward to the next 20 years spent with all of you.

I had never been to Palm Springs, except for the one time and had to find my way to the condo I had rented in the pitch black. My stay was for three months and before I left, I had already purchased a condo which a couple of years later I traded for the house I'm living in with Doug #2 now.
